Students researched the life, goals, and accomplishments of one explorer of the New World to determine their impact, both positive and negative on the European World and the New World where they landed. After taking notes from books and online sources and recording information sources carefully, students organized their information and wrote a narrative on the Explorer. Next they created a website, using Google Sites. The website has a page of brief facts about the explorer's life, maps of their voyage(s) and
either a pictorial museum exhibit of artifacts important to the explorer's experience,
an imagined entry from the explorer's diary, an interview with the explorer,
or a closing argument in the trial of their explorer by Natives with whom he had contact.
