District 25 Book Trailer Festival
5th graders across the district have been hard at work creating trailers for a favorite book. Book trailers are like a video advertisement for a book with the goal to get the viewer to want to read it! While they can be made with many different tools including iMovie, Animoto or Spark, they all use persuasive imagery and voice or text to build interest in a book and encourage reading. After working on our trailers this month, we have now paired up 5th grade classes to view and rate each other's class trailers and the class winners will be viewed by a District committee who will determine a school winner. Access the Festival website to watch the trailers and see the competition unfold:

I have four grown children, a large black dog, (flat coat retriever) and a small striped cat. I am an obessive Chicago Cubs fan and I love to run. Patton LMC Summer Reading Blog |
