On curriculum night we debuted a special event for the the Patton community - our first ever all school/family book club. We will all read The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, according to a four week reading schedule. Families each received a beautiful copy of the book and will read at home with their students while teachers and staff read it as well. In school there will be trivia contests, discussion, research and activities related to the book. Each class will create a class robot that represents their class with specific features they choose. Reading begins on September 12 and ends on October 11 when we will visit with the author Peter Brown through Skype. We know our families will enjoy reading this unique story together and sharing the adventure of Roz the Wild Robot. We hope you will also access some of the suggested home activities on The Wild Robot page. On Friday when our students learned about the book club, Roz made an appearance, becoming "activated" and leaving students with this important message:
