4th graders read beautiful "picture biographies" which provide a glimpse into the lives, challenges and accomplishments of some of our great well known and not so known heroes, or innovators, or pioneers. They read about Joe Louis, Nikola Tesla, and Louise Smith, just to name a few, who overcame great odds to achieve high honors in their sport or discipline, effect change, or innovate and create, providing a mentor for others. Working in pairs, they created a Google Slides class presentation on each person's challenges, accomplishments, character traits and memorable words! Enjoy Mrs. Cioni's class presentation:
