The third grade classes have held their Solar Award ceremonies with many cheers and applause. The Awards were the culmination of a long process full of book and web research, note taking, decisions about and checking best facts, creation of iMovies or Prezis, and finally voting for the planet with the best factual evidence to win Weirdest and Wildest Orbit/Rotation, Most Amazing Moons/Rings, Most Spectacular Surface, Most Extreme and Dangerous, Most Potentially Livable or Most Beautiful. Students learned a lot about planets, evidence, and creating a convincing commercial. Watch the slideshow to see the process and the Awards!
