On the morning of November 3, Patton students were treated to a special event, a presentation by author Barb Rosenstock. She spoke to kindergarten, first and second grade classes describing in interactive detail how she brings the people she writes about to life on the pages of her books, as she read one of her special nonfiction stories, The Noisy Paintbox. Students in third, fourth and fifth grade learned about the research that went into writing The Camping Trip that Saved America, including all about the Sequoia trees that John Muir wanted to save and also her top 3 tips for being a better writer! Thank you to the Patton PTA and District 25! Eight lucky students continued the fun at a lunch with the author in the LMC after the presentations. Take a look:
