Veera Hiranandiani, author of the new Phoebe G. Green series, read aloud from Cooking Club Chaos for Mrs. Miklautsch and McLoone's 2nd graders.
Kate Klise, author of the Regarding the Fountain and 43 Old Cemetery Road series, answered many interesting questions from Mrs. Cioni, Mrs. Koenig, Miss Ricci and Miss Miller's 4th graders and showed students her books translated into Mandarin and Italian!
Barbara Rosenstock, author of very many well loved literary nonfiction and historical fiction tales read Ben Franklin's Big Splash, for Mrs. Hasemeyer, Litberg and Copersmet's first grade classes and Mrs. Mcloone and Miss Wegley's 2nd grade classes. She answered student questions and told the students about the why and how of her books and research process.
David A. Kelly, author of the Ballpark Mystery series and Miracle Mud, treated the third grade classes to a presentation about why he writes the mystery series, how he researches his stories, and his outline, organization, writing, and the illustrating process. He also showed students what the real "miracle mud" looks like!
Ellen Miles, author of the popular Puppy Place series, read a suspenseful passage from Noodle and told students from Mrs. Jedd, Leigh and Costa's class how she names the dogs and why she writes this series.
